Thierry Henry reacts to Liverpool’s 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal
Thierry Henry was not at all happy with Arsenal's performance in their 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday

Thierry Henry launched a scathing attack on Arsenal’s players after the Gunners were thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to cap a miserable start to the season for the Gunners.
The north London side were thoroughly out-played at Anfield in the first half as Arsene Wenger’s men struggled to gain a foothold in the game.
Liverpool took the lead thanks to Roberto Firmino’s header and Sadio Mane then doubled the home side’s advantage with a sumptuous curling finish inside the far post.
Summer signing Mohamed Salah then made it 3-0 when he finished past Petr Cech following a sweeping counter-attack.
And substitute Daniel Sturridge capped the rout with a header from Salah’s cross late on.
The defeat left Arsenal on three points and in 16th place in the Premier League table after three games.
And Arsenal legend Henry did not hold back in his assessment after the game.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Henry said: “I’ve seen this game before.
“The way Arsenal loses the game is always the problem. You can lose at Anfield. It can happen. But not how it happened. It’s always the ‘how’ with Arsenal.
“We’re always talking about desire, we’re always talking about commitment. Just have a go!
“When I arrived at Arsenal, the team I joined could fight, and Arsene brought some flair players.
“Where is the fight? Where is the competing? Where is the tracking back? Where is the winning of a 50-50?
“It’s the thing we always talk about.
“It’s just unacceptable what happened today. It’s as simple as that.”
Arsenal must now dust themselves down as they prepare for their home clash against Bournemouth at The Emirates after the international break on Saturday 9 September.
The Gunners have not won the Premier League since Henry was still playing for them back in the 2003-04 campaign.
