Antonio Conte reacts to Chelsea v Everton draw in the League Cup
Antonio Conte reflects on Chelsea's draw against Everton in the fourth round of the League Cup

Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea side that they are in for a stern test of their League Cup credentials after they were pitted against Everton in the fourth round.
The Blues coasted through to the fourth round of the competition after an impressive 5-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, as Michy Batshuayi scored a hat-trick for the hosts.
Chelsea will now take on Everton for a place in the next round at Stamford Bridge in a month’s time as they look to keep their bid to win the trophy on track.
And although Conte admits that they will face a tough test against the Toffees, he is confident that his side can do what is necessary to progress.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Wednesday night, Conte said: “It’s a tough game, we know Everton are one of the best teams in this league but we are ready to face the next round.
“We are a great club so every competition is important to us. We have to be competitive in every game and if the players answer like they did tonight I will continue to give opportunities.
“We must go game by game but when I have this type of answer I’m very happy.”
Chelsea are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways in the top flight.
The Blues, who are third in the table after five games, were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Arsenal in west London last weekend.
Chelsea will then turn their attentions towards their crunch Champions League group clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night in Spain.
