Aaron Ramsey has praised his Arsenal team-mates for a statement performance in a goalless draw with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners made the short trip across London looking to end a two-game losing streak on the road in their opening two Premier League games.

Arsenal lost 1-0 at Stoke City before Arsene Wenger’s side suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss to title rivals Liverpool at Anfield last month.

The north London side have since responded with back-to-back victories over Bournemouth in the Premier League and Cologne in the Europa League.

Arsenal lost 3-1 to Chelsea in their last trip to Stamford Bridge, although the Gunners beat the defending champions in both the Community Shield and the FA Cup.

However, the north London side managed to dig deep to keep a clean sheet against Chelsea despite Antonio Conte’s array of attacking talents.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ramsey was pleased to see the Gunners respond to their recent setbacks on the road with a goalless draw at Chelsea.

“We needed this, we were due one and we showed [on Sunday] that we’re able to come away from home and compete against the best teams in the league,” Ramsey told Arsenal’s website.

“We can take a lot of positives from this today and hopefully have a successful season.”

Arsenal are looking to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2003-04.

The Gunners signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in the summer transfer window.

Wenger’s side are in a twelfth place in the Premier League table.
