Gary Neville: How Arsene Wenger made a difference for Arsenal
Gary Neville heaps praise on the Arsenal manager for getting his tactics spot on at Chelsea last weekend

Gary Neville has praised Arsene Wenger’s role in Arsenal’s positive performance at Chelsea last weekend.
The Gunners boss has been coming under pressure in recent weeks following the north London side’s disappointing start to the season.
Arsenal lost 4-0 to title rivals Liverpool at Anfield at the end of August as Jurgen Klopp exposed the Gunners’ frailties in the Premier League clash.
Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez were heavily criticised for their performances in the humiliating loss on Merseyside.
Wenger made the decision to leave out Sanchez for the trip to Stamford Bridge last weekend, while Ozil was out with a knee problem.
The Gunners manager’s decision paid dividends as the north London side battled to a positive point at Stamford Bridge.
Former Manchester United defender Neville was impressed with Wenger’s ruthless decision to leave out some flair players in order to get a tenacious result.
“Arsene Wenger made a difference. To choose attitude and hard work over talent,” Neville told Sky Sports.
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot.
The Gunners were 2-1 winners against Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season.
Wenger signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in the summer transfer window.
