Gary Neville has told Arsene Wenger to send a tape of Arsenal’s performance at Chelsea to Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners travelled to the defending Premier League champions looking to avoid another setback following a disappointing start to the season.
Arsenal lost 4-0 to title rivals Liverpool at Anfield in their final game of August to leave the north London side off the pace in the race for the Premier League crown.
Ozil and Sanchez were heavily criticised for their performances on Merseyside as the Chile star made his first appearance of the season in the Premier League.
Wenger made the decision to start Sanchez on the bench at Stamford Bridge, while Ozil missed the Premier League clash due to a knee problem.
Arsenal were widely praised for their resilient performance against Antonio Conte’s side to provide the Gunners with some confidence moving forward.
Former Manchester United defender Neville suggested that Ozil and Sanchez could learn a thing or two from their team-mates.
“Ultimately that video should go to Ozil and Sanchez. They need to come back in,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“Sit in the stands and let two players with less talent do the job that Arsenal need to do in a big match.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season.
