Thierry Henry has told Arsenal that they must now find consistency if they want to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

The north London side have made a mixed start to the new campaign but they returned to winning ways on Monday night when they beat West Brom 2-0 at The Emirates.

That victory lifted the Gunners up into seventh place in the table and left them six points behind joint leaders Manchester United and Manchester City after six games.

The Gunners will now be hoping to put together a winning run and their next challenge will be a home clash against Brighton at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal have not won the title since Henry was still playing for the Gunners back in the 2003-04 campaign.

And the Arsenal legend now wants to see the Gunners back up some recent good displays by showing the consistency needed to mount a title challenge.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Henry said: “Aaron Ramsey talks about an important thing in his post-match interview – consistency.

“That’s what that team is missing at times, especially away from home.”

Before their clash with Brighton on Sunday, the Gunners will travel to Russia to take on BATE Borisov in the group stage of the Europa League.

The Gunners are competing in Europe’s second tier club competition after missing out on a top-four finish last term.
