Ian Wright sends heartfelt message to Arsenal fans about summer transfers
The Gunners legend hits out at the Arsenal board following a frustrating summer transfer window

Ian Wright has hit out at the Arsenal board following a disappointing summer transfer window.
The Gunners have endured a difficult start to the 2017-18 season both on and off the pitch.
Arsenal sold England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool in a £40m deal on transfer deadline day.
The north London side have been fending off interest from Manchester City in their prized asset Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners were thought to be on the brink of signing Thomas Lemar in a club-record £92m deal from AS Monaco.
Lemar’s arrival would have freed up Sanchez to move to their title rivals Manchester City.
However, Arsenal pulled out of a deal to sign the 21-year-old France international to condemn Sanchez to another season at The Emirates.
The Gunners lost 4-0 to Liverpool in their last Premier League outing at Anfield to succumb to successive top-flight defeats.
Former Arsenal striker Wright was critical of the north London club’s hierarchy following a frustrating summer transfer window.
Wright wrote on Twitter: “Whoever leaves or whoever comes, AFC is still a great club❤️. Unfortunately there’s a monkeys tea party going on upstairs 😢”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a place in the Champions League.
The Gunners have signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac this summer.
