Martin Keown offers Arsenal transfer advice to 25-year-old midfielder
The Arsenal legend sends message to England international Jack Wilshere about his future at the north London club

Martin Keown has urged Jack Wilshere to knuckle down and work hard to prove himself at Arsenal before reassessing his options in January.
The England international made his first Gunners appearance in over 12 months last week when Arsene Wenger used the 25-year-old as a second-half substitute in a 3-1 win against Cologne in the Europa League.
Wilshere was widely praised for his impact from the bench as the injury-prone midfielder helped Arsenal ease to a comfortable victory over their Bundesliga opponents.
The Arsenal manager left Wilshere out of his squad for the north London side’s goalless draw with Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
The former Bolton midfielder’s omission prompted talk of a potential January move before Wenger handed Wilshere his first start of the 2017-18 season in a 1-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers.
Former Arsenal defender Keown offered Wilshere some transfer advice as the England midfielder faces a critical time in his career.
“Jack himself can assess the situation in January,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“If he’s not happy, Wenger will let him leave on loan – he’s shown that before.”
Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League table but missed out on a return to the Champions League.
The Gunners signed Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record deal from Lyon and Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke 04 in the summer transfer window.
