Arsenal to be offered top 29-year-old striker in £44m deal – report
Real Madrid could offer Karim Benzema to Arsenal in a deal next summer, according to reports in Spain

Arsenal are set to be offered the chance to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in a £44m deal, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Real Madrid are considering selling the France international to the north London club next summer.
Of course, Arsenal have been regularly linked with a move to sign the former Lyon striker over the past two or three seasons but a deal has failed to materialise.
According to the same article, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to overhaul los Blancos’ ageing attack and Benzema could be sacrificed to fund the front-line’s facelift.
The same story claims that Real Madrid view Alexis Sanchez as the ideal replacement for Benzema despite the Chile international previously representing Barcelona.
Sanchez has less than 12 months remaining on his current Arsenal deal to throw up the possibility of the 28-year-old leaving on a free transfer next summer.
If Real Madrid were to sign Sanchez, Benzema could head to the Emirates Stadium to improve Arsenal’s attack where his compatriot Alexandre Lacazette is currently leading the line.
Arsenal spent a club-record £52m transfer fee on France forward Lacazette after securing the striker’s transfer from Lyon.
