Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v West Brom
The Liverpool legend is backing Arsenal to win to nil against West Brom at The Emirates on Monday night
Michael Owen is confident Arsenal will continue their excellent form at The Emirates on Monday night with a comfortable win against West Brom.
The Gunners have won three of their last four games since a 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield in their final fixture in August.
Arsenal were 3-0 winners against Bournemouth in their last Premier League fixture at The Emirates before the Gunners secured a 3-1 victory over Bundesliga side Cologne in their opening Europa League fixture last week.
The north London side surprised their critics with a resilient goalless draw with defending Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend before a 1-0 win against Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup third round on Wednesday night.
West Brom suffered a late blow in their Carabao Cup clash after Leroy Sane’s late winner to secure a 2-1 victory for Manchester City at the Hawthorns.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen is backing Arsenal beat the Baggies and keep a clean sheet at The Emirates on Monday night.
“Arsene Wenger’s side look to have their mojo back after their recent performances against both Chelsea at the Bridge last Sunday followed by the 1-0 defeat of Donny Rovers in the cup midweek,” Owen told BetVictor.
“The Gunners now host West Brom at The Emirates bidding to make it five games unbeaten in all competitions and will be very tough to beat. I expect their class to prevail against the Baggies and fancy them to keep a third consecutive clean sheet in the process.”
Arsenal signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record £52m deal in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners have also brought in Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer back in June.
