N’Golo Kante is confident that Chelsea will be able to claim victory when they host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues head into the game fresh from their 6-0 thrashing of Qarabag in their Champions League opener at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The west London club have been able to find their form in recent weeks after having struggled in the early stages of the campaign with losses to Arsenal in the Community Shield and Burnley in their Premier League opener.

Antonio Conte’s men have responded by winning their next four games in all competitions to leave them in third place in the Premier League table heading into Sunday’s clash.

Arsenal have gotten the better of Chelsea in their last two meetings, with the Gunners triumphing in the FA Cup final and Community Shield at Wembley.

However, Chelsea midfielder Kante is confident that the Blues have what it takes to beat the north London side in front of their home fans this weekend.

Kante told the Daily Express: “Arsenal know how we play, but we know how they play. It’s going to be a good fight, and we need to be ready. We need to win.

“In the FA Cup final we were close to winning, but after the red card [for Victor Moses], it was more difficult for us.

“In both games we were good, we were close to winning. We know how they play, and we fight to win.”

Chelsea are looking to defend their Premier League title this season after they won the trophy in Conte’s first campaign in charge last term.
