Tiemoue Bakayoko makes Chelsea admission about Didier Drogba
Chelsea new boy Tiemoue Bakayoko admits that Didier Drogba was among his idols when growing up

Tiemoue Bakayoko has admitted that Didier Drogba was among his idols growing up following his transfer to Chelsea in the summer window.
The France international completed his move to Stamford Bridge from Monaco after the Blues opted to let Nemanja Matic leave and sign for Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Bakayoko will be expecting to hold down a regular spot in midfield for Chelsea alongside N’Golo Kante as he bids to help the Blues retain their Premier League title this season.
Drogba is known as one of Chelsea’s greatest ever players and Bakayoko has revealed that idolised the former Ivory Coast star when he was a young player growing up.
Bakayoko said in an interview with the Daily Mail: “Chelsea has always been a club I liked since I was young, especially because of guys like Didier Drogba being here.
“I would make a point of watching their games and I had this club close to my heart growing up, so I’m really happy to be wearing their shirt.
“I made the choice to come to Chelsea a lot because of the coach and after speaking to him. And I spoke to the people around me and my family. It seemed like the best opportunity.”
Chelsea were held to a frustrating goalless draw by Arsenal in their most recent Premier League outing on Sunday.
The Blues will bid to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to Stoke City next Saturday afternoon.
Antonio Conte led Chelsea to their second title in three seasons last term following his appointment as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor at Stamford Bridge last summer.
Bakayoko opened his Champions League goal account for Chelsea last week during the 6-0 win over Qarabag.
