Piers Morgan has told Arsenal to forget about winning the Premier League title after Manchester City were 1-0 winners at Chelsea on Saturday evening.

The Premier League leaders travelled to Stamford Bridge to face the defending champions in the biggest game of the 2017-18 season so far as the Blues looked to overturn a three-point deficit.

Manchester City were dominant throughout most of the Premier League clash in west London and Kevin De Bruyne scored a second-half winner against his former club.

The Citizens hoisted themselves above Manchester United and back to the top of the Premier League table on goal difference thanks to their narrow win at the title holders.

Chelsea are already six points adrift of both Manchester club after seven fixtures, while Arsenal are nine points behind Pep Guardiola’s side but have one game in hand.

Outspoken Arsenal fan Morgan told Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool to forget about challenging for the Premier League title this season following Saturday’s results.

Morgan wrote on Twitter: “Premier League will be a shoot-out between the 2 Manchesters & Spurs. Everyone else, incl Arsenal, can forget it.”

Tottenham Hotspur eased to a resounding 4-0 victory over Huddersfield Town in Saturday’s early kick-off, while Manchester United were 4-0 winners against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Chelsea won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season.
