Alvaro Morata has warned his Chelsea team-mates that they must continue to work hard after their 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday.

Morata scored once again as he helped to fire Antonio Conte’s men to their third straight Premier League victory at the King Power Stadium.

The Spanish striker has made a strong start to life at Stamford Bridge after signing for the Blues from Real Madrid back in July.

The 24-year-old forward has netted three goals and made two assists in the Premier League to help the west London club move up to third place in the table.

However, despite expressing his delight at helping Chelsea notch up another three points on Saturday, Morata feels that the Blues still have plenty more work to do to improve their game.

Morata told Chelsea’s website: “It was a very important win. Against teams like Leicester it’s always very difficult and we suffered in the last minutes having been 2-0 up, but that’s the Premier League.

“I’m feeling good but we are not in first place, which is the most important thing, so we must keep working.”

The Spain international will be hoping to make his first Champions League appearance for Chelsea on Tuesday night when the Blues host Qarabag at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side return to Premier League action next weekend with a crunch clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
