Eden Hazard: Why it’s time for Chelsea to win the Champions League
Eden Hazard says it is now time for Chelsea to win the Champions League title under Antonio Conte

Eden Hazard believes that now is Chelsea’s “time” to win the Champions League title.
The Blues missed out on a place in Europe’s elite club competition altogether last season after they finished in 10th place in the Premier League in the 2015-16 campaign.
However, Chelsea bounced back to form under new boss Antonio Conte and secured their return to the group stage of Europe’s elite club competition thanks to their Premier League triumph last term under Conte.
Hazard signed for Chelsea from French side Lille back in 2012, just weeks after the Blues won their first Champions League title under Roberto Di Matteo.
The Belgian playmaker has admitted that he hated watching the competition on television last season and believes that now is the time for the Blues to win their second title.
Hazard is quoted as saying by Metro: “I think now it is time to win this. We have a good squad, we have a good manager, so we are ready for it.
“You want to play these kind of games because every time you play in the Champions League it’s a big game and everybody is watching you.
“I hate having to watch it on TV, I just want to be on the pitch. That isn’t a good feeling so yes, we are happy to be back.”
He added: “This year is really important. I have reached the semi-final with Chelsea [in 2014], when we lost to Atletico Madrid, so it’s in my head to win this trophy.
“I have won the Premier League, I have won the title in France, I have won cups, but big players always want to win the Champions League.”
Chelsea are preparing to kick off their Champions League group stage campaign with a home clash against Qarabag at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
The west London side beat Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday as they moved up to third place in the table.
Hazard could be in line to start for Chelsea against Qarabag after he was only a late substitute against the Foxes on Saturday.
