Ian Wright: What I find frightening about Chelsea signing
The Arsenal legend has been impressed with Alvaro Morata's start to life at Chelsea

Ian Wright admits he finds Alvaro Morata’s pace “frightening” after the Chelsea striker scored his first hat-trick in a 4-0 win against Stoke City last weekend.
The defending Premier League champions signed Morata in a £58m deal from La Liga champions Real Madrid in the summer transfer window after missing out on top target Romelu Lukaku.
Morata struggled to establish himself as los Blancos despite winning La Liga and the Champions League last term amid stiff competition for a starting spot under Zinedine Zidane.
The 24-year-old has wasted no time making an impact at Stamford Bridge following six goals in six games in the Premier League to start his top-flight career with aplomb.
Morata netted a treble against Stoke to show off a number of different aspects of his game just days after Diego Costa secured a return to Atletico Madrid.
Former Arsenal striker Wright has been impressed with Morata’s impact at the defending Premier League champions.
“It’s true that even when Costa wasn’t playing well he’d still be likely to pull something out by giving defenders such an unpleasant time,” Wright told The Sun.
“But while Chelsea lost that, Morata gives them something else — the ability to create a goal from nothing, as he did with the second of his hat-trick at Stoke.
“His movement is superb, his pace frightening, and on Saturday he was as close to unplayable as you’ll get and could have scored at least five.”
Chelsea lost 3-2 to Burnley in their opening Premier League fixture as Morata came off the bench to score a consolation before making an assist for David Luiz.
The Blues signed six players in the summer transfer window to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.
