Alvaro Morata believes that Chelsea have sent out a firm warning to the rest of the Premier League with their 4-0 thrashing of Stoke on Saturday.

The Blues were in great form against the Potters as Morata hit a hat-tick to add to Pedro’s goal and hand Antonio Conte’s men the three points at the bet365 Stadium.

Morata has made a fine start to life at Chelsea and he has now scored six goals in six Premier League outings for the west London side.

Saturday’s win lifted Chelsea up to third place in the Premier League table as Conte’s side look to try and defend the title they won last season.

Morata will be hoping to win the Premier League in his first season at the west London club.

And the Spanish forward says the rest of the English top flight will now be wary of the threat posed by the west London side.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea TV, Morata said: “We sent a good message to all the Premier League.

“Chelsea is in the fight for the title and it’s the thing that we want.

“The most important thing is we won today. It’s a difficult place to come but we won and now we can look ahead to the Champions League.”

Morata will be hoping to feature for Chelsea when the Blues return to Champions League action with a tricky clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night in Spain.

The forward signed for Chelsea from Real Madrid back in July.
