Frank Lampard: What has impressed me about Chelsea this season
The Chelsea legend has been impressed with how the west London side have responded to a slow start

Frank Lampard has heaped praise on Chelsea for turning around their poor start to the Premier League season.
The Blues lost 3-2 to Burnley in their opening fixture of the 2017-18 campaign to make a dismal start to their title defence despite signing seven new players in the summer.
The west London side bounced back from the criticism of a below-par start to their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
Chelsea made it back-to-back Premier League victories thanks to a 2-0 triumph over Everton at Stamford Bridge before the Blues eased to a 2-1 win at Leicester City last weekend.
The Premier League title holder made a good start to their Champions League campaign – too, racking up a 6-0 victory over Qarabag in the group-stage opener.
And Chelsea legend Lampard has been impressed with the west London side’s response to a turbulent start to the Premier League campaign under Italian coach Conte.
“After losing the first game of the season their reaction has been brilliant,” Lampard told BT Sport on Tuesday night.
“There was a lot of negative talk going into the season but they’ve reacted very well.”
Chelsea finished seven points clear of their closest title rivals with two games to spare last season in Conte’s first campaign in charge of the Blues.
The west London outfit have won the title in two of the past three seasons but will be hoping to defend their crown for the first time since Jose Mourinho’s first spell at the club.
