N’Golo Kante sends positive message to two Chelsea summer signings
The Chelsea midfielder is happy to have Danny Drinkwater and Davide Zappacosta at Stamford Bridge

N’Golo Kante has welcomed the arrival of Chelsea summer signings Davide Zappacosta and Danny Drinkwater.
The Blues lost 3-2 to Burnley at Stamford Bridge in their opening Premier League fixture to make a dreadful start to the defence of their top-flight crown.
Chelsea responded with successive victories over title rivals Tottenham Hotspur and top-six challengers Everton in their next two Premier League games.
The west London side signed seven players in the summer transfer window in an attempt to reinforce their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League this month.
Drinkwater and Zappacosta both arrived on the final day of the summer transfer window and the Italian defender made his debut as a second-half substitute in Chelsea’s 2-1 win at Leicester City.
The England international remained on the bench as his ex Leicester City team-mate Kante scored against the Foxes following Alvaro Morata’s opener at the King Power Stadium.
And Kante welcomed the additions of both Drinkwater and Zappacosta following Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Leicester.
“It’s always special to come to a new club,” Kante told Chelsea’s website.
“They keep training with us now and they will learn how we play. It’s good to have some new players in the team.”
Chelsea finished seven points clear of their closest title challengers Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table last term.
The Blues lost 2-1 to Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
