Michael Owen sends message to Chelsea fans about Michy Batshuayi
Michael Owen gives his honest verdict on Michy Batshuayi and his start to life at Chelsea

Michael Owen believes that Michy Batshuayi still has plenty of work to do to prove himself at Chelsea.
The Belgian forward signed for the Blues from French side Marseille last summer for a fee of more than £30m but struggle to hold down a regular spot in the first team in his debut season in England.
Batshuayi did score the all-important goal at West Brom which clinched Chelsea the Premier League title back in May.
However, he has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team as he played the role of back-up striker to Diego Costa last term.
The 23-year-old has only started one of Chelsea’s four Premier League games this season but he did get off the mark for the new campaign when he found the net against Qarabag in the Blues’ Champions League opener on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
However, former Liverpool star Owen feels that the Belgium forward still has plenty of work to do to truly prove himself at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on BT Sport on Tuesday night, Owen said: “You’d have to say that he has not set the world alight since he’s been at Chelsea.
“He came for a decent fee – £33m. He scored a few goals but he’s quite clearly playing second fiddle. Last season he was to Diego Costa and this season to Alvaro Morata. So he’s the back-up striker.”
Chelsea, who are third in the table, return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a crunch clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
