Pat Nevin sends message to Chelsea fans about Michy Batshuayi
Pat Nevin says Michy Batshuayi will be raring to go for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night

Pat Nevin believes that Michy Batshuayi will be out to prove a point for Chelsea when the Blues take on Nottingham Forest in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday night.
The Premier League champions head into the game looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their goalless draw with Arsenal last weekend.
Batshuayi has been made to wait for his opportunities this season under Antonio Conte but he did score twice in the thumping 6-0 Champions League win over Qarabag at Stamford Bridge last week.
And former Chelsea man Nevin feels that the League Cup clash against Forest will be the perfect opportunity for Batshuayi to show what he’s capable of.
Writing in his column for Chelsea’s website, Nevin said: “Nottingham Forest shouldn’t necessarily expect to line up against a very youthful line-up in the Carabao Cup.
“There are quite a few players who want anything but a rest at the moment.
“Michy Batshuayi is another having already got off the mark for us this season in the Champions League after scoring well in pre-season and notching regularly at the end of last season too.
“He wants as many sights of goal as possible. As a striker, you always want to stay sharp and once again that is all about game-time.”
Chelsea will then return to Premier League action next weekend when they take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The west London side are aiming to defend their title this term after Conte led the Blues to the title in impressive fashion in his first campaign in charge at the club.
Chelsea, though, did not have the distraction of European football last season as they focused purely on domestic affairs.
