Pat Nevin reacts to Alvaro Morata’s display in Chelsea’s 4-0 win at Stoke
Pat Nevin was full of praise for Alvaro Morata after Chelsea's thumping 4-0 win over Stoke on Saturday

Pat Nevin was left gushing with praise for Alvaro Morata after the striker netted a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Stoke in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Spanish striker continued his fine start to the new campaign under Antonio Conte and gave the visitors the lead at the bet365 Stadium in just the second minute.
Morata latched onto a long-ball over the top and coolly finished past Jack Butland to put the Blues ahead early on.
Pedro Rodriguez then made it 2-0 to Conte’s men after half an hour to put the west London side in control, before Morata added his second of the afternoon in the 77th minute.
The former Real Madrid striker then added a fourth in the 82nd minute to complete his hat-trick.
Former Chelsea winger Nevin was very impressed by Morata’s cool finish for the opening goal against the Potters.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 live after the first goal, Nevin said: “Is Morata allowed to score with his feet rather than his head?
“His movement is perfection for a centre-forward. I’m not saying he is a better player than Diego Costa but his movement is much better.”
Morata has made a very strong start to his Chelsea career since completing his transfer to Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid in the summer window.
He has now scored six goals in six Premier League games for the west London side and Chelsea fans will be hoping to see him continue his good form.
Morata will be hoping to start when Chelsea return to Champions League action on Wednesday night when they take on Atletico Madrid in Spain.
