Antonio Conte has told his Chelsea players that “anything can happen” during their crunch clash with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Blues head into the game looking to continue their recent good form in the top flight, with the west London side having won their last three Premier League games.

Chelsea also kicked off their Champions League campaign in style with a 6-0 thrashing of Qarabag on Tuesday night in Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal are aiming to string a series of positive results together after a stuttering start to the new campaign for Arsene Wenger’s men.

The north London side have won their last two games in all competitions after victories over Bournemouth and then Cologne in the Europa League on Wednesday night.

Speaking at his pre-match news conference ahead of Sunday’s game, Conte said: “Anything can happen. We have to fight against a rival.

“I watched their game [on Thursday] and they rotated a lot of players and rested a lot of players for the game against us, so I don’t think the fact they played after us is an advantage.

“I hope to finish the game with 11 players Then, during the game, the best will win.”

Chelsea won the Premier League title in Conte’s first campaign at Stamford Bridge last season.

The west London side lost to Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May and were also beaten by the Gunners in the Community Shield in August.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
