Steven Gerrard reacts to Mohamed Salah’s display in Liverpool’s 3-2 win at Leicester
The Liverpool legend has his say on Mohamed Salah's impressive opener in their clash against Leicester City

Steven Gerrard praised Mohamed Salah for making a difficult chance look easy after the summer signing broke the deadlock in Liverpool’s 3-2 win against Leicester City on Saturday evening.
The Egypt international returned to Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up after the African winger missed Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to the Foxes in the League Cup third round.
Salah has already scored three goals in five Premier League games following his £39m move to the Merseyside outfit from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer.
The 25-year-old missed a superb chance to break the deadlock after Emre Can’s shot hit the post and rebounded into Salah’s path but the Egytpian placed his shot wide.
Minutes later, former Chelsea winger Salah got on the score sheet with a superb header from an acute angle to score his fifth goal in all competitions.
And former Liverpool captain Gerrard heaped praise on the summer signing for his composure to finish from a tight angle and give Jurgen Klopp’s side the lead.
“Coutinho had one touch out of his feet. Salah attacks the back post well and it’s a superb header,” Gerrard told BT Sport.
“He’s made it look easy really but it’s a difficult chance. Maybe the keeper should have got across a little bit quicker, but credit to Salah, it’s a superb finish.”
Philippe Coutinho doubled Liverpool’s lead before Shinji Okazaki halved the deficit in added time at the end of the first half.
Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson restored the visitors’ two-goal cushion but Jamie Vardy scored shortly after to set up a tense finish.
And the England international wasted the chance to rescue a point for the home side after he missed a second-half penalty.
