Paul Ince doesn’t expect Liverpool to falter at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening despite losing to Leicester City in the League Cup in midweek.

The Reds were dominant throughout the third-round clash as Philippe Coutinho impressed with a mesmerising performance on his return to the starting line-up.

However, Liverpool were punished for failing to take their chances as the Foxes scored twice in the final 20 minutes to secure their passage to the next round.

Liverpool are winless in their last four games in all competitions to undo their impressive start to the 2017-18 season in the Premier League and the Champions League.

What’s more, the Reds have lost their last three games at the King Power Stadium since Klopp took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.

But former Liverpool midfielder Ince is confident Klopp’s men will put that right when the Reds take on Leicester for the second time in four days on Saturday evening.

“Jurgen Klopp will be seriously hoping not to see a repeat of the midweek game!” Ince told the Daily Express.

“But, he will be fielding a very different side, and will be hell-bent on not looking stupid again.

“The fact is, Liverpool are letting in way too many goals, regardless of how good they are going forward. 2-1 is fair here.”

Liverpool signed four players in the summer transfer window as Klopp looked to improve his squad’s depth ahead of competing on four different fronts this season.

Only former AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah has shone in the Liverpool team so far, although ex Hull City defender Andy Robertson has made a couple of impressive cameos.
