Paul Merson sends message to Liverpool FC fans about Sadio Mane
The Arsenal legend believes Sadio Mane's suspension is a big blow to Liverpool

Liverpool are going to miss Sadio Mane in the Premier League over the next couple of games, Paul Merson has warned Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds lost 5-0 to Manchester City in their last Premier League game on the road as the Senegal international received a first-half red card for a collision with Ederson.
Mane had made a bright start to the Premier League campaign following a return of three goals in four games to continue his prolific form for the Reds.
However, Liverpool struggled in the absence of Mane on Saturday afternoon as Klopp’s side were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Burnley at Anfield to lose ground on their rivals.
Former Arsenal midfielder Merson warned the Reds that Mane’s suspension is a big blow given the African’s important contributions over the past season or so.
“You can tell how important Sadio Mane is to Liverpool by the fact they appealed the length of his ban – and they are going to miss him. He is their best player,” Merson told Daily Star.
Mane moved to Liverpool in a £30m deal from Southampton in the 2016 summer transfer window.
The Senegal forward scored 13 times and made seven assists in 31 Premier League games.
Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League last term thanks in part to Mane’s performances.
The Reds drew 2-2 with Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night after squandering a second-half lead.
