New Liverpool FC signing frightens defences, claims former striker
Emile Heskey gives his backing to new Liverpool FC signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Emile Heskey has backed Liverpool’s signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
The England midfielder signed for the Reds from Arsenal on transfer deadline day as Jurgen Klopp opted to bolster his attacking options at Anfield.
Oxlade-Chamblerlain was made to wait for his full debut for Liverpool but he was finally handed his first start of the season during the Reds’ 2-0 loss to Leicester at the King Power Stadium in the League Cup on Tuesday night.
Despite it being a debut to forget for the midfielder in a Liverpool shirt, former striker Heskey feels that Oxlade-Chamberlain will end up being a great signing for the Merseyside outfit.
Speaking on Sky Sports on Tuesday, Heskey said: “I think in this Liverpool side they interchange a lot so it doesn’t matter where he starts games really.
“He’s got so much pace, he frightens defenders so fans probably want to see him down the wings.
“But he seems to want to play in the centre to create opportunities and chances. But wherever he plays he can interchange like the rest of the Liverpool players.”
Liverpool will now look to return to winning ways when they once again travel to the King Power Stadium this weekend in the Premier League.
The Reds have picked up eight points from their opening five Premier League games to leave them in eighth place in the table.
Klopp steered Liverpool to a fourth placed finish and Champions League qualification last term in his first full season in charge at the club.
The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by Sevilla in their Champions League group opener last week.
