Emile Heskey says his favourite thing about Jurgen Klopp is the Liverpool manager’s enthusiasm.

The Reds boss endured a tough weekend after Liverpool suffered a resounding 5-0 loss to title rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Liverpool have made a mixed start to the season after producing one of the season’s best performances so far in a 4-0 victory over Arsenal.

Klopp has been criticised for failing to improve his centre-half options in the summer transfer window despite making four new additions.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach took over the reins of the Merseyside outfit back in October 2015 following Brendan Rodgers’s dismissal.

Klopp has failed to win any silverware with the Reds despite leading Liverpool to the EFL Cup and Europa League finals in 2016.

The Liverpool manager did mastermind their top-four finish to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.

Former Reds striker Heskey revealed his favourite thing about Klopp ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Sevilla in their opening Champions League group-stage game.

“The one thing I do love about Klopp is the enthusiasm that he shows,” Heskey told the Liverpool Echo.

“That’s what the fans love. He kicks every ball with them, heads every ball with them and scores every goal with them.”

Liverpool haven’t won the Premier League title despite finishing in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.

The Reds haven’t got their hands on the Champions League since their memorable comeback against AC Milan in 2005.
