Martin Keown sends message to Liverpool fans about ‘nightmare’ signing
The Arsenal legend is a huge admirer of Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah

Martin Keown has hailed Liverpool signing Mohamed Salah as a “nightmare” for Premier League defenders.
The Egypt international was the first of Liverpool’s five summer signings after the Reds completed a £39m deal to sign the winger from Serie A giants AS Roma.
Salah has wasted no time having a big impact on the Liverpool side after he scored on his Premier League debut in a 3-3 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road.
The 24-year-old scored in Liverpool’s 4-2 victory over RB Leipzig in the second leg of their Champions League playoff to secure a return to Europe’s premier club competition.
Salah saved his best performance in a Liverpool shirt for their 4-0 win against title rivals Arsenal at Anfield earlier this month.
The African forward proved a constant threat and Salah capped his polished performance with a superb solo goal in the second half.
Former Arsenal defender Keown has been impressed with the former Chelsea winger’s impact on the Liverpool side.
“He was irresistible. Boy has he got wheels! He is a left footed player playing,” Keown told BBC Sport.
“On the right which is always a nightmare. He wants the ball for fun. He’ll threaten the back of you whenever he can.”
The Reds signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Hull City defender Andy Robertson this summer.
Liverpool agreed a club-record £48m deal to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig next summer.
