Robbie Savage sends blunt message to Liverpool FC fans about title challenge
The ex-Leicester midfielder believes Liverpool should focus on securing a top-four finish this season

Liverpool should forget about winning the title and focus on securing another top-four finish this season, Robbie Savage says.
The Reds made a bright start to the Premier League season thanks to two victories and one draw to leave them in second place before the international break.
Indeed, Liverpool signed off with a 4-0 victory over title rivals Arsenal thanks to an impressive attacking display in front of their own supporters at Anfield.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s men suffered a chastening 5-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend following Sadio Mane’s sending off.
The Reds were unable to return to winning ways on Saturday following a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit have already conceded nine goals in five games in the Premier League to raise serious questions about their defence.
Liverpool finished in fourth place in Klopp’s first full season in charge last term to secure a return to the Champions League.
Former Leicester midfielder Savage believes another top-four finish would represent a good campaign for Klopp and his Liverpool players.
“You got a stronger squad but you’ve also got Champions League football,” Savage told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I don’t think Jurgen Klopp has sorted the defence out. You’ve got problems in defence and the question marks over the goalkeeper.
“If Liverpool finish in the top four again it will be a good season, I don’t think you’ll win the title.”
Liverpool signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solange, Hull City defender Andy Robertson and Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.
