Jurgen Klopp sends message to Liverpool FC fans about Sadio Mane
The Liverpool manager admits Sadio Mane is distraught about his red card in Saturday's 5-0 loss to Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Sadio Mane is very downbeat after the Liverpool forward’s sending off in a 5-0 loss to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds returned from the international break looking to build upon a 4-0 victory over Arsenal at Anfield which left Klopp’s side in second place in the table.
Mane was named Premier League player of the month following goals against Watford, Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
However, the 24-year-old made a disappointing start to September after Mane was controversially sent off in the first half following a clash with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.
The Brazil international raced off his line to collect Joel Matip’s lofted pass but collided with Mane’s raised boot to leave the shot stopper stricken on the pitch.
Liverpool were trailing at the time following Sergio Aguero’s opener and the Citizens eased to an emphatic victory over their title rivals thanks to efforts from Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane.
Klopp revealed in his post-match media conference that Mane is very upset about his red card which will see the Senegal international serve a three-game ban in the Premier League.
“He is very, very, very upset,” Klopp said.
“We couldn’t keep him up, he was shocked about the situation and I am sure also about the decision because he didn’t think [it would be red]. If the leg is not where the leg is, you can also say it is a foul from the goalie. What can I say?
“In the end it is a red card and I am sure enough people will find enough reasons to say it the right decision and we cannot change it anymore. Of course, it had a big influence on the game today.”
Liverpool will take on Spanish side Sevilla in their first Champions League group-stage game on Wednesday night.
