Charlie Nicholas reacts to Philippe Coutinho’s display for Liverpool FC v Burnley
Charlie Nicholas has his say on Philippe Coutinho's performance for Liverpool FC in the 1-1 draw with Burnley

Charlie Nicholas admitted that Philippe Coutinho must work on improving his finishing after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Burnley in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday.
The Brazilian playmaker made his first start of the season for the Merseyside outfit as he played 78 minutes of the draw with the Clarets at Anfield.
Coutinho has been eased back into the first team by Jurgen Klopp after the relentless speculation about his future during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old was thought to be close to a move to Barcelona but Liverpool ended up keeping hold of the playmaker beyond the summer.
Coutinho played most of the game at Anfield on Saturday but was unable to help the Reds make the breakthrough and win the game as they dropped more points.
And although former Arsenal man Nicholas was impressed by his overall display, he admits that he must improve his finishing.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Saturday, Nicholas said: “He impressed, but not with his finishing.
“At times he gets in the box and does that lovely slalom run but he must have hit the second tier behind the goal on six occasions.
“He probably had double figures in his attempts at goal but maybe only two were close. The rest were pretty wild.
“That’s a side of his game he’s going to have to sharpen up. But with everything else he looked sharp.”
Liverpool return to Premier League action next weekend with a trip to Leicester City in the Premier League.
The result on Saturday left the Reds in eighth place in the Premier League table.
