Paul Merson predicts where Liverpool FC will finish this season
Paul Merson explains why he doesn't think Liverpool FC will be able to win the Premier League this season

Paul Merson believes that Liverpool are not strong enough defensively to win the Premier League title this season.
The Reds have made something of a mixed start to the new campaign under Jurgen Klopp after failing to string together a run of consistent form in the Premier League.
Klopp has been tasked with bringing the Premier League title to Liverpool for the first time after he was brought in as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Anfield back in October 2015.
The German manager successfully steered the Reds back into the Champions League for this season by leading them to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League last term.
However, former Arsenal man Merson believes that the Merseyside outfit do not have enough quality at the back to launch a genuine Premier League title challenge this season.
Merson told the Daily Star: “That team [Liverpool’s squad] is not good enough defensively to win the league and losing [Sadio] Mane [to suspension] is a big blow.”
Liverpool are currently preparing for their trip to Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, before heading to the King Power Stadium once again next weekend to play the Foxes in the Premier League.
The Reds brought in four new players in the summer, signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson.
