Rio Ferdinand sends clear warning to Liverpool FC
Rio Ferdinand discusses Liverpool FC's start to their Champions League group campaign

Rio Ferdinand has warned Liverpool that they will have to step their game up if they want to reach the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Reds were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Spartak Moscow in their second group game on Tuesday night as Jurgen Klopp’s men were left searching for their first victory.
Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Sevilla in their opening group match to leave them with two points from a possible six.
The Merseyside outfit will now take on Maribor in their next two games as they look to reach the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand believes that the Reds will have to step their game up in the coming weeks as they look to try and progress in Europe.
Ferdinand told BT Sport on Tuesday night: “Liverpool are fortunate they’re in a group of fairly mediocre teams apart from Sevilla.
“They’ll get out of the group but they have to up their gears now. They’ve played a couple of games and not looked great over the two games.”
Liverpool now turn their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their trip to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table after their thrilling 3-2 win over Leicester City at Anfield last weekend.
Liverpool finished fourth in the Premier League under Klopp last season as they secured Champions League qualification.
