Philippe Coutinho has reiterated that he wants to leave Liverpool in January, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Liverpool attacker has underlined his desire to move to La Liga giants Barcelona.

The same article states that the 25-year-old hasn’t given up hope of a move to the Spanish league leaders and the Liverpool board could be ready to sell.

According to the story in the Spanish media outlet, owners Fenway Sports Group have agreed to listen to any offers from Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Coutinho’s representatives have been in touch with the Liverpool hierarchy to further discuss a move to Barcelona.

The Liverpool number 10 made an impressive return to the starting line-up in the Premier League after a brilliant goal in a 3-2 win at Leicester City.

Coutinho missed Liverpool’s opening four Premier League games due to a back injury after a dramatic transfer saga in the summer.

The Reds star handed in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move to Barcelona but Liverpool refused to consider the potential sale of their prized asset.

The Merseyside outfit signed four players in the summer transfer window.
