Danny Higginbotham: Why Liverpool will beat Man City
Danny Higginbotham looks ahead to Liverpool's clash with Manchester City on Saturday afternoon

Danny Higginbotham is fully expecting to see Liverpool beat Manchester City in the Premier League clash at The Etihad this weekend.
The Reds head into the game fresh from their impressive 4-0 thrashing of Arsenal before the international break and in second place in the Premier League table.
Like Liverpool, Manchester City have also taken seven points from their opening three games to leave them in a good position heading into this weekend’s showdown.
Liverpool will definitely be without Philippe Coutinho for the Reds’ clash with the Citizens after he returned from international duty with Brazil last week.
However, Higginbotham is still tipping the Reds the claim all three points against the Citizens in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off at The Etihad.
Higginbotham said on Sky Sports News on Friday morning: “I think the way that Liverpool play against the top six teams, I do think Liverpool will have a lot of opportunities,” he said on Sky Sports.
“Manchester City are always on the front foot.
“But I just feel the pace of Liverpool could really exploit Manchester City’s defence and they will have a number of opportunities.
“I think both teams will score but I just think Liverpool will come out on top.
“Like I say, based on what they’ve done previously against the top six. I’m going for a Liverpool win.”
Liverpool are preparing to return to action in the Champions League group stage next week after they made it through the play-off round by beating Hoffenheim.
The Reds finished fourth in the Premier League table last term.
