Peter Schmeichel tells Jurgen Klopp how to fix ‘obvious’ Liverpool problem
The Man United legend sends some blunt advice to Jurgen Klopp about Liverpool's defence

Peter Schmeichel has warned Jurgen Klopp that Liverpool won’t win any silverware unless the Reds boss solves their defensive problems.
The Merseyside outfit were unable to register their first Champions League win of the group stage on Tuesday night following a 1-1 draw at Spartak Moscow.
Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper Loris Karius was at fault for Fernando’s opener before Philippe Coutinho equalised with a superb goal.
The 18-time English champions have now conceded 20 times in 11 games in all competitions so far this season to raise serious questions about their defence.
Klopp has been using Simon Mignolet as his Premier League goalkeeper, but placing his faith in Karius in the Champions League, while Danny Ward has started their only League Cup game.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Schmeichel doesn’t believe Klopp’s decision to alternate between his goalkeepers is helping his defence to improve.
“It’s so obvious what the problem is – we talk about the fab four, we should be talking about the flat four,” Schmeichel told The Debate on Sky Sports on Tuesday night.
“The back four just doesn’t work and the goalkeeper situation is very confusing.
“You can’t win anything significant with an unbalanced team – you need to have equal quality up front and at the back.”
Liverpool secured a return to the Champions League last season thanks to a top-four finish in the Premier League last term ahead of their rivals Arsenal.
Klopp signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke, Hull City full-back Andy Robertson and Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer.
However, the Reds boss failed to sign a new centre-half or a new goalkeeper in the transfer window despite Liverpool’s well-documented problems.
