Charlie Nicholas: Why this Liverpool FC star will score v Sevilla
Charlie Nicholas is tipping Sadio Mane to star for Liverpool in a 2-0 win over Sevilla on Wednesday night

Sadio Mane will be on target to fire Liverpool to a 2-0 victory over Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night, according to Charlie Nicholas.
The striker endured an afternoon to forget on Saturday when he was shown a straight red card for a high boot during Liverpool’s 5-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League.
However, the forward’s suspension will only apply to domestic affairs and Mane is eligible for selection as Jurgen Klopp’s men kick off their Champions League group stage campaign.
And former Arsenal star Nicholas is tipping Mane to find the net as Liverpool claim a 2-0 victory over the Spanish side on Wednesday night.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “Sevilla won 3-0 at the weekend but they are not quite the force they have been in previous seasons.
“Nolito has gone there, Jesus Navas has gone back and they’ve also got threats in Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel.
“However, the European nights are back at Liverpool without the strain of the play-offs so the magic back should be back. Anfield and Celtic Park are my two favourites grounds on a European night.
“It really is a huge advantage for them and I can see them making a winning start with Sadio Mane making amends for his controversial sending off at Manchester City at the weekend.”
Liverpool will then return to Premier League action at the weekend with a home clash against Burnley as they look to bounce back from their 5-0 thrashing by Manchester City.
The Merseyside outfit have taken seven points from their opening four games to leave them in eighth place in the Premier League table.
The Reds booked their place in this season’s Champions League by finishing fourth in the Premier League table last season in Klopp’s first full campaign in charge at Anfield.
