Man United and Chelsea both wanted top 23-year-old striker this summer – journalist
Manchester United and Chelsea both wanted to sign Andrea Belotti form Torino this summer, claims Mark Odgen

Both Manchester United and Chelsea wanted to sign Andrea Belotti from Torino this summer, according to journalist Mark Ogden.
The Italy international’s future was a source of speculation during the summer amid reports that a possible move to the Premier League may have been on the cards.
However, a transfer failed to materialise as Belotti ended up staying at Serie A club Torino beyond the summer.
Manchester United ended up signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton and Chelsea landed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
However, reporter Ogden has confirmed that both Chelsea and the Red Devils were keen on landing Belotti in the summer.
Ogden wrote on Twitter over the weekend: “Morata on bench for Spain. Belotti, the third CF on Utd and Chelsea’s list, starts for Italy.”
Manchester United have made a flying start to the new Premier League season after winning all three of their opening games.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have bounced back from their stuttering start to win their last two games against Tottenham and Everton.
The Red Devils travel to Stoke on Saturday, while Chelsea take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
