Mark Hughes warns Stoke about Man United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Mark Hughes has a warning for his Stoke side ahead of Manchester United's trip to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday
Mark Hughes has warned his Stoke City side that they will have to be at their best if they want to keep the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan quiet when Manchester United travel to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
Manchester United have been the Premier League’s top performing team so far this season, after having won all three of their opening games in style.
The Red Devils are top of the Premier League table after having scored 10 goals without reply in their opening three games.
Jose Mourinho is aiming to lead Manchester United to their first Premier League title since their last triumph back in 2013.
And Hughes has warned his Potters side that they will need to be at their best when they host the Red Devils on Saturday evening.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Friday, Hughes said: “These games are huge for us and we always enjoy them. We hope we can get a similar result that we did against Arsenal.
“They’ve got the pace of Rashford, the power and presence of Lukaku, the clever play of Mata and Mkhitaryan.
“These teams test you in a lot of ways.”
Manchester United are also preparing for a return to the Champions League group stage next week after having won the Europa League last term.
