Michael Owen: 21 year-old has turned it around at Man United, he’s back to his best
Michael Owen has been impressed with Anthony Martial's performances for Manchester United this season

Michael Owen has been impressed with Anthony Martial’s start to the season at Manchester United.
The 21-year-old struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team with the Red Devils last term in Jose Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
Martial first burst onto the scene under Louis van Gaal following his transfer from Monaco in the summer of 2015 and he enjoyed a strong start to his career in England.
The striker has been in top form for Manchester United this term and he scored a goal and notched up two assists in the Red Devils’ 4-1 Champions League win over Monaco on Wednesday night.
He has also scored three goals and made one assist in the Premier League, despite only starting one game in the top flight so far this season.
And former Liverpool and Manchester United star Owen has been impressed by what he has seen from Martial so far this season.
Speaking on BT Sport on Wednesday night, Owen said: “I think a lot of people worried about Martial for the majority of last season because when he first signed, everybody thought he was very good and looked exceptional.
“He’s back to something like his best now. Using his pace, scoring goals and beating players.
“He loves cutting in from that left-hand side onto his right foot and he’s a very good player.
“A lot of people thought he would be leaving in the summer but he’s forced his way back into the reckoning.”
Martial will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a home clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are currently joint top of the Premier League table along with Manchester City.
