Owen Hargreaves sends clear message to Man United fans about Anthony Martial
Owen Hargreaves has been impressed by Anthony Martial's strong start to life at Manchester United
Owen Hargreaves believes that Anthony Martial is brimming with confidence this season after his strong start with Manchester United.
The 21-year-old struggled to produce consistent form for the Red Devils last term following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in May 2016.
However, he has started this season strongly despite only featuring from the start in one Premier League game this term.
The France international has scored five goals and made three assists in all competitions for Manchester United this season and he was named as the man of the match as the Red Devils thrashed CSKA Moscow in the Champions League last week.
And former midfielder Hargreaves believes that Martial is full of confidence this term after having struggled for periods last season.
Speaking to BT Sport on Wednesday night, Hargreaves said: “He [Martial] is so much full of more confidence this season.”
He added: “Mourinho is fortunate that he can rotate both Martial and Rashford on the left. He has got the best out of both of those players.”
Martial will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in their next Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils, who finished sixth in the top flight last term, are currently in second place in the Premier League table and level on points with early leaders Manchester City after six games of the new season.
