Paul Merson questions Man United and Chelsea signings
Paul Merson explains why he thinks that both Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata still have a lot to prove

Paul Merson believes that Romelu Lukaku does not have the “all-round game” to be considered as the Premier League’s best striker following his move to Manchester United.
The Belgian forward has earned plenty of praise for the strong start he has made to life at Old Trafford since signing for the Red Devils from Everton back in July.
Lukaku has netted six goals in as many Premier League outings for Jose Mourinho’s men and he has established himself as Manchester United’s main striker.
Alvaro Morata, meanwhile, has made an equally impressive start to the new season since his arrival at Chelsea from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Morata has also netted six times in the Premier League for Chelsea to help the Blues up to third place in the table.
However, Merson believes that neither of the strikers can yet be considered as the Premier League’s top talents quite yet.
Speaking to Sky Sports and explaining why he picked Harry Kane as the Premier League’s top striker, Merson said: “I don’t think Lukaku has the all-round game.
“He’ll score if you put it in the box but he doesn’t bring other players in.
“Morata looks like a proper player but he’s still got a lot to prove.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday evening with a crunch clash against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, while Manchester City host Crystal Palace earlier in the day.
