Man United to make fresh attempt to sign top 28-year-old attacker – report
Manchester United will make a new attempt to try and sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid next summer, say reports
Manchester United will make a new attempt to try and sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid in next summer’s transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that Jose Mourinho has not given up hope of luring the 28-year-old Wales international to Old Trafford despite having not managed to secure his signature so far.
Manchester United were linked with a potential move to bring Bale to Old Trafford this summer but Bale himself publicly insisted that he was happy at Real Madrid.
The same story says that Mourinho looked into the possibility of signing Bale this summer but Real Madrid did not want to do business with the Red Devils.
However, the report now claims that Mourinho is still “hoping” to persuade the former Tottenham star to move back to the Premier League in a deal which could be worth more than £90m.
The same article says that Manchester United were given indicators that Bale could possibly be available for transfer next summer.
Manchester United were heavily linked with a move for Ivan Perisic in the summer transfer window but the deal did not go through and the Croatia international ended up staying at Inter Milan.
