Gary Neville has revealed that he would love to see Manchester United complete a deal to sign Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.

The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move to sign the France international at the start of the summer transfer window but he ended up staying at Atletico.

Griezmann is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top attacking talents and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will make a move to try and sign him in the coming transfer windows.

Former Manchester United defender Neville is a huge admirer of the 26-year-old, who has already scored two goals and made one assist in four La Liga games this season.

Neville told Stretty News TV, as quoted by Metro: “We can get a lot better. I’d like to see one more flair player in the team.

“I’d like to see a winger who can beat a man and get everyone on the edge of their seat.

“Having been in Spain for four months, I love Griezmann. I would love to see Griezmann at United. He’s quick, he’s inventive he can beat players he can score goals.”

Manchester United signed three players in the summer transfer window as they concluded deals to bring in Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

It remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho will look to add more firepower to his squad in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils, who host Crystal Palace on Saturday, have made a strong start to the new campaign and are currently joint top of the Premier League table along with local rivals Manchester City.
