Manchester United will win silverware if Paul Pogba plays to “90 per cent of his talent”, Louis Saha has claimed.

The Red Devils signed the France international in a club-record £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in last summer’s transfer window.

The Manchester United midfielder endured a mixed first season back at Old Trafford after a return of five goals and four assists in the Premier League.

Pogba played an important role in helping Jose Mourinho’s side to win the EFL Cup and the Europa League in the 2016-17 campaign.

Indeed, the French star scored in Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Ajax in the European showpiece in Stockholm.

However, Pogba has made an impressive start to the current campaign after scoring two goals and making two assists in their opening four Premier League games.

Former Manchester United striker Saha believes Pogba has the talent to fire the Red Devils to further silverware.

“I think this season he will be more consistent, define his role in the team and give more indication of exactly what he’s going to bring to United’s play and bring to the manager,” Saha told BetStars.

“I think the manager has full confidence in him. Pogba has such great talent, if he plays to 90 per cent or 95 per cent of his potential, United can win all the trophies.”

Pogba was named as captain for Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Swiss side Basel in their Champions League opener at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

However, the club-record signing was forced off inside 18 minutes after the versatile midfielder picked up a hamstring problem.

Pogba won four Serie A titles with Juventus.
