Alan Shearer makes confident Tottenham prediction about Harry Kane
The Newcastle legend expects Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to break his Premier League record

Alan Shearer is backing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to break his Premier League record of 260 goals.
The Spurs forward scored twice in Tottenham’s 3-2 win against West Ham United in the derby at the London Stadium in Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League.
Kane has now scored four times in the Premier League in September after failing to find the net in August despite netting 29 goals in 31 games last season.
The England international scored twice in Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-1 win against Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League earlier this month.
Kane has already netted 82 times in 122 appearances in the Premier League since breaking into the Spurs team under Mauricio Pochettino.
Former Newcastle United striker Shearer is backing Kane to beat his record before the end of the Tottenham striker’s top-flight career.
“Will I be disappointed if Kane or Lukaku do it?” Shearer told The Sun.
“Well, it is a record I am very proud of but to witness the goalscoring exploits of another professional is something I now enjoy doing in my role as a pundit, so good luck to them.
“I actually believe Kane, in particular, can do it — and will do it.”
Kane has scored 105 times in 172 appearances in all competitions for the north London side since making his debut in 2012.
The England striker was sent out on loan spells at Leicester City, Norwich City, Millwall and Leyton Orient before establishing himself as a first-team regular.
Tottenham are in fourth place in the Premier League table but five points adrift of leaders Manchester City and Manchester United.
