Arsenal make big decision about Alexis Sanchez’s future – report
Arsenal have decided to sell Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, claim reports
Arsenal have decided to sell Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, according to reports in France.
French newspaper Le Parisien, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners are ready to offload the 28-year-old attacker rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Sanchez’s current Arsenal contract expires in the summer of 2018 and he has been relentlessly linked with a transfer away from the north London club in recent months.
The same report claims that Manchester City still retain an interest in signing Sanchez from Arsenal, along with Paris Saint-Germain.
Sanchez was heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester City towards the close of the summer transfer window but Arsenal ended up keeping hold of the forward.
Arsene Wenger has publicly insisted that he is still hoping that Sanchez may sign a new deal with the north London club, but that now seems unlikely.
Arsenal have made a mixed start to the new Premier League season and they now find themselves in fifth place in the table, six points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games.
The north Londoners return to Premier League action after the international break with a trip to Watford as they look to make it three wins on the spin in the top flight.
