Alexis Sanchez was clearly feeling in a philosophical mood on Tuesday as the Arsenal forward took to social media to send a message to his followers.

The Chile international’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months after both he and Mesut Ozil entered into the final 12 months of their contracts at Arsenal.

Sanchez was heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal during the summer transfer window, with Manchester City touted as a possible destination for the forward.

However, Arsenal opted to keep hold of their prized asset rather than try and cash in on him before his contract expires.

Sanchez was in the stands to watch Arsenal in action as the Gunners beat Norwich City 2-1 in the League Cup on Tuesday night.

And the 28-year-old Chilean was clearly feeling in a philosophical mood.

Sanchez posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “The eyes are the window of the soul, they do not hide or lie.”

Sanchez will be expecting to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday with a home clash against Swansea City at The Emirates.

The north London side are currently fifth in the table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City after nine games.
