Robbie Savage believes Arsenal have absolutely no chance of winning the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners continued their recent upturn in form on Sunday when they secured a 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at The Emirates thanks to goals from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi.

That result moved Arsenal up into fifth place in the Premier League table and left them six points behind leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.

Arsenal have failed to produce consistent form in the Premier League since their move to The Emirates from Highbury.

Indeed, Arsene Wenger’s men have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.

And former midfielder Savage doesn’t think that the Gunners have any chance of being able to win the title this season.

Speaking on BT Sport after Arsenal’s win over Brighton on Sunday, Savage said: “This Arsenal side now, I believe, are miles and miles away from winning the Premier League.”

Arsenal return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road.

The Gunners ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last season after missing out on Champions League qualification.

However, Wenger did lead the Gunners to their third FA Cup triumph in four years by beating Chelsea in the final at Wembley back in May.
